They are predicting more snow on top of the snow we already had so everyone here is panicking!
It's not like we got alot of snow the first time and only getting another 2-3 inches today but you would never guess that if you went to the grocery.

Everyone thinks they will never get out to get bread or milk again!

These two are the smart ones - staying in staying warm and cozy.
Hope all is well in your world!

I promised myself at the beginning of the new year I would start blogging on a regular basis.
Not a resolution - just an improvement.
Resolutions are like diets to me -I can't keep either.

I was even delusional that I would post something everyday!
I have good intentions but this thing called work keeps getting in the way.
If I didn't work I would have more time - but no money...

And if I have no money I can't buy the things I love to fill my gardens.
Such a Catch 22

The Winter Storm Hercules and the Polar Vortex is really testing my pond skills,  When I left the house this morning it was -6.
  Yes - MINUS SIX.
We haven't seen that low of temperatures in a few years.
The ice was nearly solid over the pond - even with the pump bubbling water in it.  We had to keep breaking the ice periodically last night and this morning. Any built up gases and lack of oxygen is dangerous for the fish unless there is a way for it to get in/out  I am not home today to keep the hole open so lets hope the bubbling water did its job and the fish will survive this extreme cold.

I am looking forward to the days my pond will look like this again!

It's only the first few weeks of winter and we've already had several good snows here in Kentucky.
The New Year brought us an icy storm and this week below zero temperatures.  As much as I love snow, I am anxiously awaiting spring.  Stay warm!
