I rescued yet another sick kitten.... same country farm that the last two came from not quite two years ago. I hate to see a kitten suffer - or any animal for that matter. This one is special - my grown step daughter pleaded with her dad to save her. And so we did.
She is a Bob-Tail kitten about 6 weeks and weighed 20 ounces. Yes, only 20 ounces. And pitifully sick.
She had an upper respiratory infection, and a little hole in her side. We weren't sure what that was all about as we thought something had gotten a hold of her. It turned out to be a warbel worm - I will spare you the details and photo.
Almost three weeks later and she isn't in quarantine... and she meets her half brother Cinders for the first time. I'm pretty sure they have the same mom. The hole is healing nicely and the infection is gone.
Gypsy isn't sure what to think - perhaps a new play toy?
After all, Gypsy thought she was the "baby" of the house!
I loved the dark patch over her eye and knew she needed a pirate name...
I settled on "SPARROW" as in Captain (Jack) Sparrow... from Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
She is as adorable as this photo depicts... and I'm glad my Hubs is so understanding with me.
He did tell me the other night that he has known all along this is who I am...
