Remember the song I went to a garden party to reminisce with my old friends By Ricky Nelson... (That tune will forever be in my head) well infact, I did have a garden party!

A few weeks ago, before the weather turned extremely hot, I had a little garden party for a few of my creative friends. Joining me was Ramona from C-Shore Creations and Beth from Crone Cottage, Curt and Steve from Interior Visions and of course my sister Cathy and my BFF Toni.

Poor Connie, she missed a great time but was camping instead!

We toured the gardens and enjoyed some (alot) adult beverages and had a great time. Curt, an excellent photographer took lots of photos. I'll be sharing them with you in my future blog posts.
This little rusty bird looks like he is drinking right out of that bloom!

Are you tired of seeing my day lilies?

I promise this is the last post of day lilies! Well maybe....

This is one of my favorites. For some reason I love the ruffled edge ones.

I bought this one in memory of my dad - he was a pumpkin farmer. It's exactly the color of pumpkins!

Had to have a red one!

Maiden Kiss is alot prettier than this photo - I take a photo of each one to identify it if the plant markers ever get lost. Or Gypsy takes them!

Not sure you can read the tag - this one is called Geneva Fire Truck. I wonder what gives the inspiration for the names?

My very favorite!

I hope you enjoyed my day lily garden tour!

Have a great weekend!

More Day Lilies to enjoy

Of course the names of all these day lilies are in a book at home - and also marked at the base of each plant. I try to keep track of which cultivars I have.

Not that it would keep me from getting one I similar since there are like 61,000 cultivars of day lilies!

And I only have about 40 different ones!!!

More tomorrow!

Day Lilies in Bloom

On the daily walk through my gardens this is what I'm enjoying this week...

I'll be posting a few everyday if time permits... I have many colors and cultivars.

I love the lavenders - they are hard to find.

This one is abundant this year - anyone need one??
