THE MANY FACES OF OTIS

I hate to show favoritism and I love my cats (almost) all the same. But lets face it...some are so much cuter than others.

Especially when they are kittens...
and curious...

Otis came from my in-laws farm.  Just a plain old farm kitten living the good life now.  It seems like everytime we go out to the farm to visit there are new kittens.  And sometimes I bring one home... it got to the point where Hubs told his mom he wasn't bringing me back anymore.
But how can you resist this face?

And who would Jack Frost have to cuddle with in their basket???

He's my best boy...

AN ODD VISITOR

This past week Miss Gypsy was at the back patio door just barking away at something she thought shouldn't be there.  I couldn't imagine what is was.  Way out in the back yard almost into the woods was the culprit.  A huge tom turkey scratching around in the leaves looking for acorns and whatever he could find.  In the 18 years we've lived here this is the first time we've had a turkey. Oh, we have our share of bunnies, chipmunk, squirrels and deer.  But never a turkey.  Heck one time we even had a skunk hanging right outside the back patio door. Just never a turkey.  My husband was in his glory.  Now we have a "pet" turkey - and we have to put corn feed out every few days for it.  He shows up every evening about 5pm looking to eat.
I think I'll name him.

A GLIMPSE INTO OUR HOLIDAY

It's so hard to believe I haven't posted in weeks and even harder to realize its the beginning of a new year. I don't know where the time went but we stayed busy and totally enjoyed it.  Here are some glimpses into our holidays...
A Silent Night for Jack Frost...

A little bit of sled riding with the nephews...

Two of Santa's very disgruntled reindeer...

Gypsy and Toby had their first play date!

And a Christmas Baby!
My niece Jen, who you can read about a few posts back, had their baby girl, Reeva 6 lbs 8 oz
and 18 inches on December 13th!  She is as perfect as the looks!

I hope your holiday was as exciting as ours was.
My hopes for the new year is to keep in touch a little more often!
Happy New Year
